In depth

Verdict

Up Ten Down Two was receiving 2lb when beaten just over a length by Lean On Pete over slightly shorter here in December and is worse off at the weights. The winner ran well again over this trip in January though has been raised again while Ochos Rios, who lost his maiden tag on his all-weather debut here in December, has changed stables after losing all chance at the start on a return visit a month later. Go On Gal gained her only victory in 26 starts when easily beating Lean On Pete over the track and trip last August but has run moderately since so this looks a good opportunity for AVOCET to complete a hat-trick. Olly Murphy's mare went up 6lb for winning a course and distance seller then landed a minor handicap at Chelmsford. She arrives with a 6lb penalty but is in such good heart that another victory looks on the cards.
