Verdict

Angle Of Attack now looks a leading player after a decisive win last time, but preference in the opener is for TOP FLIGHT SPLASH, albeit tentative. The Geraldine Rees-trained selection has just one career win to her name, which came over course and distance from a mark 1lb lower than today's 50. Her other two best efforts came on this surface over this trip and also 7f, both from higher marks than today's, so she clearly has the ability at this lowly level. The return to 6f for the first time on the Fibresand since last May looks a positive one, and she acts in the visor, so we will side with her. Alan Brown's Angle Of Attack slipped markedly in the weights before winning by more than three lengths in a first-time visor over course and distance last time out and now carries a penalty. The manner of victory would suggest he can follow-up, but consistency is not his strong suit and the headgear won't necessarily be a positive. Cheshire Rose would have a good chance if able to produce her best on this surface, but previous efforts suggest that is doubtful, especially over this trip, so we'll oppose. Admiral Bond acts on the surface but has won just one from 24 career starts, and even though he has been given a bit of daylight by the handicapper he might still come up short. Being by Captain Rio there is a strong chance that Brazilian Brush will act here, and he is interesting in first-time blinkers if there is market support, but we will side with Top Flight Splash.
