Verdict

The betting may give us more help here, but REGARDLESS looks an improving sort after a couple of runs, and gets the vote ahead of Diamond Affair and China Bay. Placed at Redcar following an uninspiring Catterick debut, Regardless has shown plenty of pace, and a similar amount of improvement could be enough to land this. Her dam won over this trip as a two year old, and she's closely related to a number of other sprinters who paid their way. Geraldine Rees has had a couple of runners up spots here recently, but could go one better today. Diamond Affair has hinted at promise in her couple of runs to date for Mick Quinlan, but her pedigree may suggest she'll want further in time. Tom Dascombe's two year olds have done well for him this season, but China Bay would need to see some improvement from a Wolverhampton debut to land the spoils. Alan McCabe does well here, but his runner London Girl hasn't impressed in her two runs to date. As ever the market can guide us, but tentatively we'll side with Regardless.
