Verdict
Dovedon Hero comes her in good heart and should go close to following up his recent victory, but we will side with Kristensen, Montecristo is also expected to run well. The selection is not the easiest of horses to win with but has been given a very good chance by the handicapper today. He put up an excellent performance at Wolverhampton last time over a longer trip, just tying up in the closing stages when fourth behind Mamcazma. The drop in trip today should prove beneficial and he looks the sporting bet. Dovedon Hero returned to winning form at Lingfield last time, just getting the better of Lewis Island. This race is slightly tougher but he should still make his presence felt. Meanwhile Montecristo comes into the argument as he is four pounds better off with Dovedon Hero for a two length beating in that Lingfield contest. The best of the others should be Madiba, but Kristensen deserves a change of luck and is taken to oblige.
