Verdict
A very open handicap to complete the card and we will take a chance on Port St Charles, with Branston Tiger and Kennington two obvious dangers. Port St Charles returned from a three month break to chase home Adantino in a six furlong event at Lingfield last month. His course and distance effort in August when a close second to Siraj also reads well and he looks to be still on a fair mark. Branston Tiger also went close last time, he was the only one to make a race of it with Air Mail. The drop in trip today could be ideal and he looks certain to play a part in the finish. Kennington has been knocking on the door over the last month, finishing runner up in three similar events, place money could be in the bag again. Taboor, Chatshow and Baylaw Star are three others to consider in a very open affair, but Port St Charles looks the pick of the weights and just edges the decision.
