Verdict
We'll take a chance here on Turks And Caicos ahead of Cottingham and Pappy. The selection ran poorly here last time but a repeat of his fourth behind Myannabanana at Wolverhampton the time before - on only his second career outing - puts him in contention, particularly with his rider taking off a decent seven pounds from his back. Cottingham has failed to sparkle in each of his three runs here to date but, no doubt, holds solid claims on the best of his Turf form during the summer. Pappy showed some promise on Turf and could improve for the step up in trip as it will be his first try beyond six furlongs. Lilian was very disappointing on her first try on the all-weather when unplaced at Wolverhampton last time. Prior to that she'd finished second in a couple of sellers on Turf but that Wolves run was, as we say, disappointing.
