Verdict
A moderate contest with Pooka's Daughter being the only winner in the field. Although there is nothing wrong with her defeat of Little Louis at Wolverhampton, she has more on her plate under a penalty and will have a job to confirm the form with Brandywine Bay. The latter was only having her second outing, so she may be capable of further improvement. Downtherefordancin has form at this level and will be suited by a return to this trip, having failed to stay last time, while a similar comment also applies to Blandys. Dandy Nicholls has his team in good order and Admiral Fitzroy is worthy of respect. This is a big drop in class for the son of Hennessy and if fully tuned up, he will be a danger to all. However, Half Hunter gets the vote. David Barron's gelding ran well enough in a maiden over course and distance last month and he is taken to make the most of the drop in class.
