      Verdict

      THREE C’S finally showed some benefit for a slide down the weights when third over a mile here a week ago and George Boughey’s charge looks set to add to his previous three course wins. The Retriever won here back in November but was hampered early when sent off favourite last time and never figured while Sharrabang’s recent success came over a shorter distance in classified company at Newcastle though she still finished in front of Deevious Beau.
