In depth

Verdict

A very mediocre contest may go to Gravardlax ahead of Agilete and Oberon's Prize. Bets are definitely best kept to the bare minimum here, and only the most tentative of votes goes to Gravardlax who is in fact still a maiden after 23 career outings. However he has been steadily plumetting down the weights since making his debut for Brian Meehan in better company three years ago, and is taken to finally make his mark. Agilete is another long-standing maiden who fits a similar profile, but his form of late is not as good as that of the selection. Oberon's Prize is lightly raced and if there is any support for Vince Smith's four-year-old then take heed, but it is Gravardlax that gets the vote.
