      Verdict

The most consistent performer in the field is Berties Brother and he just edges the decision over Ten Commandments and Devon Ruby. The selection doesn't know how to run a bad race and put in another sterling effort last time when finishing a close up third behind Red Vixen. That was over the six furlong trip but this distance holds no fears and he looks the safest option in a weak event. Ten Commandments looked in need of a recent spin round Wolverhampton and contested much better races on the turf last season. He is very lightly raced and open to plenty of improvement. He could be the main threat to our choice, but certainly Devon Ruby cannot be easily ruled out. She is not the most consistent but on the pick of her track form she does hold solid each-way claims. So once again not a race to get too involved in financially, but Berties Brother looks the best of a bad bunch.
