        Verdict

        In a tight affair, Simon's Seat is selected ahead of Beady, Peak Park and Lampos. Starting with Brother Cadfael, and he has yet to prove he stays this far and was behind Lampos here last time over a two-furlong shorter trip. The latter looks ready for a step up in trip, could have better to come and can go well. Kyber improved for a step up in trip last time and comes out with a chance on adjusted ratings, while Beady seems to have the better of Kyber if you work through form involving Reflex Blue and, much as Peak Park has been beaten from revised marks since winning over course and distance, he certainly holds place claims today. However, Simon's Seat was eight lengths ahead of Lampos when they met over course and distance on January 5 and a repeat of that effort should see him in the shake-up. As such, in a competitive heat, he gets the call.
