Verdict
La Musique can beat Rocky Reppin, with Emperor Cat and possibly Chorus Beauty likely to make their presence felt. La Musique showed his first piece of worthwhile form when a close second in similar company here three runs ago, and having disappointed at Wolverhampton next time, produced another fair effort when third to Legal Lover here six days ago. That was only his eighth career outing, and from the evidence so far we can deduce that he likes the Fibresand much better than the Polytrack. It surely will not be long before he comes good, and we shall take him to open his account here at the expense of Rocky Reppin. The latter practically lives here, having appeared here 21 times in all, but has gained just two successes and is hardly the most consistent of animals. However, he may well have gone closer than third last time had his rider not lost his reins briefly two furlongs out. He will be there or thereabouts again but is worth taking on. Emperor Cat no doubt needed his recent return, having been off since last May, but he is nothing special and nor is Chorus Beauty. Adalar has been tried on the Polytrack and even over hurdles without success, and he too is best watched on his first outing on this course after a break. It could be that La Musique will be best of a mediocre bunch.
