In depth

Verdict

CLASSIC QUART seems to have regained some form and could take this at the expense of Kingfisher Niamh and Edgevine. She seemed to be going nowhere until a couple of seconds in her last two outings last month, when a gamble was just foiled. She's leniently treated and after a spell in the doldrums and more than a year off the track, she seems to have rediscovered her enthusiasm. She'll stay all day, and the good ground will help. Kingfisher Niamh is having her first run for 11 months, so may need it. A winner on her last appearance, she's also done well in Irish points. The fitness may be a negative, but any support may be encouraging. Edgevine has a couple of thirds to her name from six outings, but being top weight may count against her. Simple Glory is the only course and distance winner, but that was at lower grade on her penultimate run and she couldn't follow it up. None are in the greatest of form, but the one with the scope to improve to land it in our opinion is Classic Quart.
