In depth

Verdict

After an encouraging debut Henry Cecil's BRIEF LOOK is taken to win this maiden in front of debutant Final Victory and Desert Vision who makes his seasonal bow. As a daughter of Sadler's Wells the selection should act on the Fibresand and after easily holding a subsequent winner on her debut run when finding just one too good the normal progression should see her in front of these. Out of an Oaks winner, newcomer Final Victory should find success at this trip and a winning debut isn't out of the question with his yard doing well with first time out three-year-olds this term. There is a slight doubt that the surface will suit but a big run is expected. Desert Vision showed plenty of promise last season and as long as he's trained on well his Bumper win on soft ground holds him in high regard here. Ottoman Empire was a little disappointing last time out and this step in trip is not an obvious plus so in an intriguing opener Brief Look looks good.
