Verdict

ROYAL KEVA is the tentative suggestion ahead of More Tea Vicar and the more exposed pair Confucius Captain and Clerk's Choice. The two newcomers have to be mentioned as both hail from yards associated with juvenile winners and any market confidence behind their chances should be noted. Royal Keva has run both of his races over this course and distance and showed improved form from the first to the second. He wouldn't need to make significant progress to take a hand in the finish. Clerk's Choice has a bit to find with Confucius Captain on official ratings and Nick Littmoden's runner ran well here over seven furlongs last time whereas the Jarvis horse is having his first run here. More Tea Vicar has been staying on for pressure on her two starts at Great Leighs and Wolverhampton; she'll appreciate a stiffer test in time but this circuit may play to her strengths. An intriguing opener which may go the way of Royal Keva.
