      Verdict

MAMBO SUN ran well on both starts last month and may be able to land the finale from the likes of Orpenella and Rub Of The Relic. The latter carries a penalty for his win over course and distance where he responded well to the fitting of a visor. He has form to his name from higher marks so may not be handicapped out of this. Orpenella is trying this trip for the first time but shapes as though she'll stay this far and her pedigree offers further cause for optimism on that front. She's in fair form and could make her presence felt as may the consistent Barataria whose mark is rising in defeat. Mambo Sun attracted plenty of market support on his return from an absence but weakened out of the equation in the latter stages of the race. He stepped up on that form last time when staying on for third behind an unexposed rival and should be cherry ripe on his first start for his new trainer so we'll take Mambo Sun to send us home on a winning note.
