Verdict

With Rod Millman in good form at present, a chance is taken with Adantino over Blue Knight, Grandma Lily and Far Note in the last race on this Beatle themed day. Anybody who witnessed Adantino's latest effort at Lingfield in March will want to be on here as he was very unlucky indeed. Taken across from his wide draw by Steve Drowne, he was going like the winner inside the final two furlongs, but just could not find daylight until it was virtually all over, going down by a head to Joy And Pain in the end. The six furlong trip seems to suit him, and although he has been something of a standing dish on the Polytrack, there is no reason to believe that he will not act on this slower surface. In addition, that latest outing was only his second since January, so he should now be spot on. Blue Knight is another that was rather unfortunate last time when badly hampered half a mile out over the course and distance, forcing him to lose his place. He has been tried over a variety of trips in the past, but his sole win came over five furlongs at Wolverhampton. Grandma Lily was never sighted after early scrimmaging at Wolverhampton, while Far Note was outpaced over five last time and should appreciate the trip. Shifty Night made virtually all at Yarmouth recently and remains in good heart, so adds to the mix, but we shall rely on Adantino to make amends for that luckless run last time.
