In depth
Verdict
Blue Power stands out as the one to beat here with Sahara Silk and Icenaslice the others for the shortlist. The selection is a course and distance winner and hails from the in-form Karl Burke yard. He confirmed his well-being with a good third at Carlisle behind Feu Duty, and this colt who is owned by footballer Francis Jeffers, looks to be capable of regaining the winning thread here. Sahara Silk is another course and distance winner who was outpaced after being slowly away on this track last time, but he is capable of much better than that. Icenaslice was a convincing winner in a handicap at Thirsk last time when defeating Burkees Graw. This is more difficult but there may still be more to come from this 3-year-old filly so she has to be considered. Of the remainder, Wonky Donkey hails from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market, but for the winner we return to Blue Power.
