Verdict
Smart Starprincess gets the nod here ahead of Piccolo Prince, Smokin Joe and Back At De Front. The selection has been in flying form of late, her winning run of four coming to an end when touched off over course and distance on January 27 by Piccolo Prince. The latter is now a pound worse off at the weights so it should be very close between them. However, Kieren Fallon has been booked for the selection, which is certainly eyecatching. Smokin Joe seems to be best at six furlongs but do not entirely rule him out. Back At De Front is now four-pounds higher than when scoring over six at Wolverhampton on January 16 but does act on this surface, while Fayrz Please appears to be improving and could yet run a good race. Sahara Silk won here as a two-year-old but her form has tailed off since. Overall, though, it is hard to get away from the Fallon factor and, as such, Smart Starprincess gets the vote.
