In depth

Verdict

Lightly raced but a winner on the Flat in Ireland, Ezanak makes his hurdling debut for Dan Skelton having been sold out of Dermot Weld’s yard for €12,500. He’ll need to hit the ground running following a wind operation to prevent JE SUIS CHARLIE from recording a first victory over timber. John Quinn’s four-year-old has started favourite in his last two runs over obstacles and wasn’t beaten far on either occasion. Mont Royal probably exceeded expectations when third here last week and Balli Martine, placed in bumpers, probably has more scope.
