        Verdict

        A small but competitive field for this claimer. Carlton won well over course and distance last time out when defeating Rudik and a reproduction of that form would see him go close with conditions again in his favour. Rudik has every chance of reversing the placings on these revised terms, however he has not won for over three years. Game Guru was a fair third in a handicap last time out behind Sir Northerndancer he takes a step down in grade and any market confidence would be significant. Prima Stella won a seller in good style last time out at Wolverhampton, however he has failed to sparkle at this track in the past and he is readily opposed. Festive Affair is from a yard in top form and he is worth a cautionary look in the market but this is a more competitive affair. Stand By would have a chance on his best form but he has disappointed of late. The remainder need to improve on there latest form to take a hand in the finish.
