Verdict
A decent sprint and Hereford Boy is taken to land it with Xpres Maite and Bo McGinty put up as the alternatives. Hereford Boy won emphatically at Folkestone the other day and having already scored at this track in the past, he can make his early pace count at a track that has favoured front runners. Xpres Maite has yet to win over this trip. That said, he has won three races on the bounce. Bo McGinty completely missed the kick but obliged nonetheless just a couple of days ago. He seems to be making a bad habit of tardy starts and can ill afford it to happen here. Gallery Girl should have come on for her reappearance although this is a big ask to switch turf form straight on to fibresand. Tartatartufata needs no introduction to regulars of all-weather racing and Derek Shaw's mare will run her usual game race. Luscivious looks in the grip of the handicapper while Garstang and Tous Les Deux attempt to pot hunt some placed prize money from out of the handicap proper. Hereford Boy is definitely in form and he is selected to make a quick return to the winner's enclosure.
