In depth

Verdict

In the finale, Sentiero Rosso is selected ahead of Gigs Magic and Stolen Glance. Sentiero Rosso is back to the mark from which he won over course and distance last November and, even though more-recent efforts have been disappointing, he has to be considered on that basis. Gigs Magic was not disgraced from today's mark at Lingfield last time and, if taking to today's surface, would have to be respected, while Stolen Glance is on a winning mark and has at least won over course and distance. Wodhill Gold maybe still has it to prove from his current rating, while She's Our Lass's all-weather record is modest. Top Jaro is on a fair mark but, again, has made little show so far on the all-weather. Key Partners could find this trip on the short side, while Rafferty, who is a power in decline, cannot entirely be ruled out from a career-low mark. Overall, though, we will side with Sentiero Rosso.
