Verdict

Noble Pursuit is out to get the losses back and can do so, with Donegal Shore, Sudra and Larky's Lob the main dangers. Noble Pursuit gained the last of his four career wins at Windsor two years ago when in the care of Terry Mills, but has been knocking on the door just lately. Having found the in-form Miss Champers just too strong the time before last, he again found one too good when narrowly beaten by Xaloc Bay when sent off favourite here last week. Both of those races were over a mile and with a furlong less to travel now, he makes most appeal. Donegal Shore was second to Lucayan Monarch in claiming company on his latest start, but the latter is trained by Paul Blockley who should therefore know what Noble Pursuit has to do to master that rival, while Sudra has place claims but has been hard to place. Of the rest, Larky's Lob is a previous course and distance winner so should not be entirely ruled out, but Noble Pursuit is the one to beat.
