        Verdict

        The lightly raced Pure Mischief is open to further improvement but is becoming expensive to follow and, despite coming down the weights, he is passed over on this occasion. Golden Fortuna has clearly had her problems and has not been seen on the racecourse since flopping on her handicap debut at Kempton last July. Bravura has been well placed to land two handicaps at Lingfield during the winter but faces no easy task under top weight. Uhoomagoo has claims on his placed efforts on the al-weather in February but the vote goes to Pup's Pride who ran well enough behind the well treated Down To The Woods last month to suggest he can figure in a race of this nature.
