Verdict
Crosse Fire has won no less than 13 times here and beat Dark Shot at the track in August before finishing ahead of Mininggold and subsequent winner Samovar when scoring here again last time. Scott Dixon’s charge also won on the Fibresand back in April when beating SAAHEQ (NAP) by a short-head but the latter re-opposes on much more favourable terms today and, having run well for fifth in Class 3 company at Ascot recently, Mick Appleby’s charge can come out best back in this lower grade. Harry Hurricane bids for a hat-trick on the back of a double at Windsor but novice winner Magic J debuts on the surface.
