Verdict

BERKSHIRE BREEZE went close on a couple of occasions last year including a handicap at Ascot. Rated 84 and with his yard in top form, Andrew Balding’s grey should have the measure of these. Deadlock was no match for a stablemate of the selection when runner-up at Kempton while the remaining trio of Now Then Wendy, Gurkhali and Femme Patronne all started life in bumpers with the latter having the strongest form of those.
