        Verdict

        Brave Chief won easily last time and can follow up over Witchcraft, with Emperor Cat, Vittorioso and Pay Time best of the others. The final race on the card can see Brave Chief once again get the better of Witchcraft here as he did nine days ago. Roy Bowring's four-year-old was ridden clear to beat that rival by a comfortable two lengths, and although he is now fully nine-pounds worse off, is taken to maintain the form. That victory came on his first outing for new connections after being gelded and with blinkers applied for the first time. They certainly worked the trick then, and despite the weights saying otherwise, he can improve again to uphold the form. Emperor Cat stayed on well enough over six furlongs last time and can be involved in proceedings, while Pay Time will perhaps appreciate this trip after fading when third to Eddies Jewel over a mile at Musselburgh. The unkindest cut of all has proved the key to Brave Chief's return to form though, and he is the one to beat again.
