In depth
Verdict
Dasher Reilly is probably better than he has shown in recent starts and it is interesting that Evan Williams now steps him up in trip but he is far from certain to stay this distance so preference is for Pebese, who gets the verdict ahead of Doc Martin. The last mentioned has graduated from point-to-points and has shown some ability from limited opportunities over regulation fences but the Irish raider may be booked for a place at best. Don McCain's Timetwogo ran better at Worcester over hurdles last time and has to be considered on his chasing debut but he would need to improve on hurdles form to trouble the judge. Fairlight Shadow has shown ability but remains a maiden and is readily opposed with a better bet looking to be Pebese. David Pipe's gelding showed promise in Ireland but ran his best race when stepped up to a similar distance at Worcester last time. A reproduction of that effort may well suffice in what looks a poor contest.
