In depth

Verdict

River Frost was a promising hurdler at one time but fell on his only previous try over fences and has switched stables since last in action in April. Capital Force is penalised for winning a Ludlow handicap in the spring but hasn’t been disgraced in three starts since. Utility also won a handicap, at Uttoxeter, last month and carries 6lb extra. LOVATO doesn’t really have a jumping pedigree but that hasn’t stopped him winning four of his 12 hurdle starts and Richard Newland will have given him plenty of schooling. Landsman could also be interesting but is another with a Flat pedigree.
