Restive was having only his third outing for Mick Appleby when returning a wide-margin winner over 1m6f in an amateurs' race here. But a 10lb rise still looks harsh and TWPSYN is preferred. He also has a 7lb hike in the weights to contend with here but the rest were nowhere when David Evans’ charge won over course and distance last time and there looks more to come from him on this surface. J Gaye went close over a longer trip here last month and has plenty of scope while the likes of Blowing Dixie, Cold Harbour, Contingency Fee and Country'n'western have past form on Fibresand with the latter preferred fitted with a tongue-tie after winning at Nottingham last month.
