In depth

Verdict

Mac Dalia, Orange Square and East Coast Girl are the three we like in this seller and narrow preference is for Mac Dalia. The selection ran well for a long way here last time in a race won by Rapidity and now that she is eased into this grade and dropped in trip she looks worth siding with. Orange Square won in this grade last time at Wolverhampton but he made hard work of it and he doesn't appear to be the most genuine. East Coast Girl is lightly-raced and she drops into this grade for the first time so she is certainly worth considering. Captain Crooner hails from a yard in good form and he could prove best of the others, but for the winner we will stick with Mac Dalia.

Formwatch

Captain Crooner (IRE) 6-1 (9-0) Slowly into stride, soon driven along last, when 3rd inside final furlong, no impression, 3rd of 4, 4 1/2l behind Orange Square (8-7) at W'hampton 5f 3yo sll (6) pol.

Orange Square (IRE) 4-6fav (8-7) Made all, driven out, won at W'hampton 5f 3yo sll (6) pol beating Bahamarama (8-12) by 1/2l, 4 ran.

Mac Dalia 10-1 (9-1) Slowly into stride, soon prominent, hard driven to challenge 2f out, soon hung right and weakened quickly, last of 5, 18l behind Rapidity (9-4) at Southwell 7f 3yo hcp (5) fbs.

East Coast Girl (IRE) 12-1 (9-4) In touch, driven over 1f out, one pace final furlong, 4th of 7, 9l behind Orpen's Art (7-13) at Southwell 5f 3yo hcp (6) fbs in Jan.

Feeling Pretty Auction House filly out of a moderate racemare.

Jastaanhi 33-1 (7-13) Broke well, held up, pushed along halfway, short-lived effort over 2f out, 7th of 8, 13l behind Vigano (9-4) at W'hampton 6f 3yo hcp (6) pol.
