        Verdict

        A competitive heat which may go the way of Blue Velvet, who showed she handled this surface when runner-up to Pickled here last month. She has to race off a 3lb higher mark here and may have most to fear from Dil, who was doing his best work in the closing stages in that race and will be 11lb better off here, taking into account Jo Badger's claim. Law Breaker, who continues to run well, but is creeping up the weights and Paddywack are sure to make their presence felt.
