In depth

Verdict

After bouncing back to form last time CLEAR ICE looks the one to be with in this claimer and Dandy Nicholls' charge has our confidence ahead of stable mate Il Forno and the on-form Flow Chart. Effective on this surface and well treated by the framing of this contest the selection won a handicap over a furlong further here in December. He has the speed to win over this minimum trip and he ran well in defeat in this company on adverse terms last time. Flow Chart looks to be the main danger after a string of decent performances. He was excepted to go better last time and with an on-form jock in the plate he wouldn't have to improve much to get on top. Il Forno is the Dandy Nicholls second string and was an easy winner of a maiden over six furlongs last time. On the pick of his form he's in with a chance but with no experience on this surface we pass on this occasion. Tom Folan looks the only other with serious claims unless the newcomers prove to be useful so we'll stick with Clear Ice who is best in at the weights.
