Verdict
Old Bailey looks the one to be on here, with Sergeant Slipper and St Ivian the main rivals.David Barron''s gelding rarely gets beaten far and ran up to his best last time when chasing home Pawan. That was over the seven furlong trip but he is just as effective over the shorter distance and he looks the best option here. Sergeant Slipper wasn't beaten far behind Shifty Night last time, with a few previous winners just in front. There is a strong chance he will be in the frame today. St Ivian finished just ahead of the selection here last time, but is a lot worse off at the weights. He is a consistent performer though and should be capable of making the frame. Best of the remainder could be Kensington, but Old Bailey is suited by the race conditions and gets a confident vote.
