      Verdict

      Come Uppence has a much higher handicap mark than both Kyllach Me and Lady Vellyn having rattled up a sequence of seconds. He was only beaten a short-head here a fortnight ago and may have enough to hold off the attentions of Carrabamababe, well beaten here on her debut but expected to improve. But LANAI is also open to further progress on her return from a lengthy absence and she gets a speculative vote on the strength of David Barron's excellent strike rate at the track.
