In depth

Verdict

Few of these arrive in form but Penny Poet ran much better at Plumpton and wouldn't need much more. Jobesgreen Lad had shown glimmers of ability before a better effort on heavy ground at Exeter while Aronius wasn't beaten far at Catterick before running in a jumper's bumper at Lingfield. The four-year-old Yulong Magicreef handled the testing ground at Ffos Las but in a poor handicap the vote goes to FLEUR DU SEUILL (NAP), who had been racing over further before a much better run over this trip at Leicester.
