Verdict

HI TIDE is burdened with a 7lb penalty for a really gutsy effort when beating Retrieve here last time but is going to prove tough to overcome if Aidan Coleman can cajole a similar effort from the Jenkins topweight. Dormouse and Larteta are both in current good nick but do seem close enough to the selection in the weights whilst course and distance winner, Dealing River, is respected but may just be stymied by the rise in the ratings for a couple of victories. Wester Ross should have blown the cobwebs away at Newton Abbot recently on a first run since August, whilst She's Late, likely to be popular due to connections, was easily brushed aside by No Substitute at Uttoxeter and will need to improve on this move into the handicap ranks, although he is only a 4-y-o with time on his side.
