In depth
Verdict
Lone Piper gets our vote here ahead of possibly Flying Faisal. Running through the field. Flying Faisal has won at this trip but further might suit ideally. However, at this lowly level, he has enough ability to play a part. Levelled comes into the argument based on his fourth to Long Weekend at Lingfield last time although he has no form on this surface. Magic Eagle is the sole course winner in the line-up and a return to his 2002 form would give him a big chance but recent form has been uninspiring, plus he has never won over this trip. Lone Piper holds Diamond Racket and Tuscan Dream based on their Wolverhampton runs on March 1 and his overall form says that he really ought to be in the thick of things today. Mr Uppity's best recent effort came here a year ago but his form has tailed off since, but you could not entirely eliminate his chances here. Burkees Graw won as a juvenile but recent efforts have been uninspiring. Overall, then, we return to Lone Piper.
