In depth

Verdict

SIR VALENTINO was still in contention when falling over fences at Newbury last month. He's clear at the weights back over timber and will likely start a short price to land this. Star Date was well beaten despite finishing second at Newton Abbot but still looks best of the remainder. Donna's Pride and Trapper Peak have both been placed in bumpers and Don Padeja may have improved for his debut over hurdles at Marker Rasen.
