Verdict
Smart Ass, Formidable Will and Hoh Wotanite are three against the field in a tough race to call for punters and the narrow vote is given to Smart Ass. The selection won well last time out when beating Anduri and although having a penalty for that, he won with a little in hand and is taken to defy the handicapper from a good draw. Formidable Will rates the main danger having won a seller in good style last time out when beating Penwell Hill but he tends to struggle in handicaps and is taken on with this in mind. Hoh Wotanite was a fair third behind Regal Raider last time and is another with place claims, but all his best form is over a longer trip and he looks opposable on that basis. Of the remainder, Shifty is game and consistent and is sure to run his race, but for the winner we return to Smart Ass to small stakes.
