Verdict
Boundless Prospect has like a lot of runners trained by David Evans been in good form of late, winning three of his last five starts, but his form is over slightly shorter than this and preference is for the confirmed stayer, VICTORY QUEST, who gets the vote with Nakoma rated the best of the rest. The selection won narrowly here over 1m6f at the beginning of the month and is 7lbs higher in the weights now but the 10-year-old is only 1lb higher than when just failing to catch Zaffeu over course and distance last time and, with his stamina proven, he can go one better today. Conor Dore's Super Ross has his first outing on the flat for 1007 days but has been running over hurdles so cannot be completely ruled out although a bigger threat is likely to come from Richard Guest's Dan Buoy, who won here last month over shorter and is unproven over this sort of trip on the flat but does stay three miles over hurdles so should get it. Brian Ellison's Nakoma ran well here last time over 1m4f, has won over two furlongs extra at Wolverhampton and he should stay the two miles well enough but Victory Quest has no problems with the distance and can outstay his rivals.
