In depth

Verdict

CAT TIGER has to give weight away all round but is hard to oppose for the champion trainer and David Maxwell. He ran a cracker when last seen in the Foxhunters' at the Grand National meeting when a highly commendable third of 21, form which makes him the standout here. He also boasts an excellent 5-11 strike rate over fences. Tanit River looks the likeliest threat after a creditable close fourth in the 4m chase at Cheltenham's hunter chase evening last month but this may prove a bit sharp for him. The consistent Peacocks Secret, a solid third at the aforementioned Cheltenham meeting, is next best.
