Nonrunner
Plenty of course and distance winners make this tough work for punters and we side with HANDSINTHEMIST at the principal expense of Spic 'N Span and Guto. Paul Midgeley's runner was a little below par last time out on the turf but she had a progressive profile on the Fibresand and it is to be hoped that the return to Nottinghamshire invigorates a change of luck. Spic 'N Span is a regular at the track. The handicapper has stuck him up 4lb since his latest run hence why he takes his chance in claiming grade. Guto is likely to be thundering home late and has a better draw to work from this evening. Dodaa is likely to blast them from the gate. Willie Muir has had a few winners of late though Our Acquaintance has not appealed as a likely one. Fyodor has won on this surface in the past and this is a drop in grade as his handicap mark looks unrealistic at present. Sherjawy is little better than plating grade and will struggle against better rivals. Northern Empire is capable though struggles to run two races alike. Peak District is watched in the market on a first run for Mick Easterby. Not a race that makes much in the way of punting appeal and we stick with Handsinthemist.
