Verdict
Better known as a National Hunt trainer, Ian Williams does well with the few runners he has on the flat, as he showed at the weekend when Sharmy took the honours at Lingfield. He runs a similar type here in the shape of Caliban, and this winning hurdler must not be underestimated on his return to a track where he has already tasted success. Twilight Haze looks to have plenty on his plate to reverse Wolverhampton form with Young Collier, even on these revised terms. The latter, who wasn't doing a lot in front at Wolverhampton, looks capable of further improvement and should be up to defy the Handicapper. Hajeer, who stays well, has the beating of Twilight Haze on these terms and may be good enough for the minor honours.
