Verdict

OUR IVOR goes from strength to strength on this surface and defied a 7lb rise last week to land a hat-trick of course and distance victories by eight lengths. Mike Appleby's charge can shrug off a penalty and go in again. Caledonia Prince beat lesser competition in a claimer here last time and Piceno looks a bigger threat on the back of his recent third to Light Burst over 7f at this track. Berlusca makes his Fibresand debut and looks high enough in the weights now anyway while Wolverhampton winner Tight Lipped finished a well beaten third on his previous start at the course. Monzino won here last year but is 8lb higher today having won twice at Wolverhampton in January.
