Verdict
African Spur, Henry Tun, Cark and Mr Spliffy look the principals here, with the vote going to African Spur. The selection comes here in good heart following a narrow defeat to Polar Haze here last time. That was over six furlongs but each of his three career successes has been achieved at the minimum trip so he has to be respected. Henry Tun is a four-time course and distance winner but, if official ratings are correct, he has a little to find with the selection. A similar comment applies to fellow course and distance winners Cark and Attorney. Mr Spliffy is held by Cark on January course and distance form. A dual course winner over six furlongs, So Sober should be competitive for some place money. Most of the others look up against it overall although a return to the best of the best of Valazar's form could see that one competitive too. Overall, though, we are happy to side with African Spur.
