Verdict
VALID POINT has looked a different animal since being upped in trip and Sir Mark Prescott's charge looks set to complete and six-timer here despite a 12lbs penalty while Brilliana looks the best placed to take advantage should the run stop and Monetary Fund looks best of the rest. Entering the handicap ranks off a mark of 45 the selection has been since climbing the weights winning all his last five starts. The latest was a more than comfortable four length success and although this is the first time he will have seen Fibresand he started this run by winning on soft ground at Ayr so he should handle it. Brilliana was only just caught in the final strides in a similar race on fast ground last time just missing out on a two-timer. A further two pounds has been added to her burden for that run, which looks fair, and if taking to the surface she should go close. Monetary Fund proved she can act on this ground when placing over a slightly shorter trip here three starts ago. He easily landed a maiden on his latest outing but it is tricky to tell whether his mark is correct. Not much else in this field makes much appeal and Sir Mark Prescott seems to have found another good opportunity for Valid Point to score.
