In depth

Verdict

The lightly-raced Tara Niece stayed on well to score at Newton Abbot and has only been raised 5lb but BLACK ANTHEM won’t be inconvenienced by a switch back to hurdles and can atone for a narrow defeat over fences at Market Rasen on Monday. Bendy Bow is interesting making his handicap debut in modest company and is preferred to Jetstream, who is taking a big step up in trip, and Perth chase winner Istimraar.
