Verdict

Lydford, a winner twice on the all-weather, was only beaten a head when failing to land the odds at Leicester on his hurdles bow. He will be fancied to recoup losses but might find MIDNIGHT CENTURION a tough nut to crack given Jamie Snowden’s gelding was only beaten a neck by Geronimo at Uttoxeter, the winner having scored twice since in handicaps. Winning pointer King Arise should find a race over timber and Great Ocean has also won between the flags.
